Well, we have been up to our ears in pineapples! The feature picture is the pineapple quilt block, and Michael painted it up in tropical colors. The second barn quilt is adapted from an original block painted by a fellow barn quilt painter, Liz Argotsinger. I am grateful for the sharing of ideas through a FB page.
So, thanks to an outstanding workshop led by Gyleen Fitzgerald, followed by an Ocean City Quilt Retreat with my good friend and fellow blogger, Cheryl Kirk, I was able to finish up 49 pineapple blocks. I kept adding to the design wall…
Yesterday, I added a fruit salad border,
and today I went out in search of the backing and binding. I found the perfect block design and matching border and corner, so I can’t wait until it is quilted. This is my “Quilting That’s My Jam” quilt! I highly recommend the pineapple block if you have extra fabric in your stash (and who doesn’t?)
